ABOUT US

Soft Design Consulting Group began life in 1982 as Soft Design Consulting to address the needs of small businesses and individuals who were making the jump from Apple II and Commodore 64 computers to the new IBM PC. As exciting as it was back then, nobody could have possibly envisioned just how monumental this technology shift would become. In only a few years, PC based file servers and wired networks would become common in the workplace, bringing about a quantum shift from minicomputers and mainframes to desktop computers. Not long after, the internet would evolve and provide an earthshaking addition to the computing landscape. And Soft Design Consulting has been there every step of the way. In 1999, we became Soft Design Consulting Group to encompass how we work with our associates.

CUSTOMER SERVICE REALLY IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY

You've certainly heard that line before, but sadly it is rarely the case. With automation and outsourcing being much less expensive than offering real customer service, the expected cost savings are just too tempting for many companies. Not so at Soft Design Consulting Group. We still believe direct hands-on service and support, provided by down to earth local professionals, is the only way to keep every one of our clients happy. We understand normal people need help and don't enjoy "technospeak" or being "talked down to". Not surprisingly, this approach has worked very well for us. We are an entirely "word of mouth" business. We don't advertise. It is the large group of our satisfied clients telling others about us that continues to keep us in business. This has been our model for over 40 years. It let's us have controlled growth that doesn't affect our ability to provide the very best service to every client who needs it.

WE KNOW A THING OR TWO

There's really only one way to get very good at something. Experience! Even better if that experience can be varied and wide ranging. We've programmed applications, designed network topologies and server deployments, implemented backup and security solutions, deployed office computers, acted as tech liaisons between our clients and their other tech vendors, pulled cables, repaired broken electronics at the board and component level, and pretty much most other IT related work. This scope of work allows us to better solve issues using a well rounded big picture approach.

HOW CAN WE DO THIS?

Well, it does take a bit of work. Realistically, IT professionals are a dime a dozen, so why should you use us? For starters, we answer the phone and we call back. Each of our clients know they will get priority if they are having a problem. Because we don't mark up pricing on any hardware our clients get through us, they can be assured we have no profit motive recommending one item over another. We have the ability to be a one stop shop for most small business needs, so our clients can concentrate on their business and leave the IT issues to us.
